Recommended Snack – Trail mix

Ashley Koff, RD, recommends that you make your own trail mix.  Add different chips (peanut, chocolate), coconut, dried fruit – this offers many more nutrients than candy, which is low in nutrients and high in sugar and often high in fat as well.   Taken from The G Free Diet by Elisabeth Hasselbeck (page 93)  

Snack of the week

This week’s snack product is more than just a snack – it’s protein!   Jif Peanut Butter.  This product is naturally gluten free and will provide necessary protein to your diet.  Jif Peanut Butter is a great addition to enhancing the flavor of gluten free crackers, celery, gluten free breads, etc.
